First visit today and enjoyed an earl grey matcha (hot). It was not too sweet, unlike the owner and the employees who were incredibly friendly and warm! The space and the vibe is light and bright, with good seating and easy parking. Finding this place (I wasn’t looking) was serendipity!

Such a wonderful coffee shop! The coffee is delicious, the pastries are incredible, and the whole atmosphere feels warm and inviting. You can really tell they put care into everything they make. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!

Uptown Coffee Co. on West Pleasant Ave is exactly the kind of neighborhood coffee shop you hope exists in your town — and Maywood is lucky to have it. From the moment you walk in, the vibe just hits right. It's cozy without being cramped, stylish without trying too hard. Whether you're popping in for a quick morning coffee, settling in with your laptop, or catching up with a friend, the atmosphere makes every visit feel like a little treat. Now, the coffee. Excellent. Whether you're a straight black coffee person or someone who goes for a more creative latte, they nail it. The drinks are consistently well-crafted and never feel like an afterthought. I found out they make their own syrups IN HOUSE, which is amazing. The pastries might be the real star. Fresh, indulgent, and the kind of thing you'll think about on the drive home. The pistachio crumb cake and lunch sandwiches NEVER miss. The staff deserves a special shoutout — genuinely warm and welcoming every single time. You get the sense they actually enjoy being there, and that energy is contagious! They treat every customer like a friend. Uptown Coffee is the kind of place that quickly becomes a habit — and a very good one at that. Highly recommend.

The coffee is great, the space is consistently clean, and it has the warmest neighborhood vibes.What really sets them apart is the customer service. Even when it’s incredibly busy, the staff is exceptionally friendly and they greet so many customers by name. I had a bunch of questions about their different types of milk and coffee beans, and they were so patient, informative, and happy to customize my drink exactly to my taste! The basic drop coffee and the fresh squeezed lemonade w/ raspberry are my favorite and the pistachio and Oreo crumb cakes are a must-have.

Had a great experience with Uptown Coffee Co.. This place really stands out for its modern atmosphere, quality food, and welcoming neighborhood feel. Everything feels thoughtfully put together, from the coffee and food presentation to the overall vibe of the café. You can tell there’s real attention to detail and a strong focus on customer experience. Jen took great care of me throughout the visit—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The owner I spoke with was also a pleasure to talk to, which added to the whole experience and made the place feel even more inviting. If you’re looking for a great café in Maywood for coffee, breakfast, or lunch, this is definitely worth checking out

Uptown Coffee has become one of my favorite local spots. The staff is always incredibly pleasant, and I've truly enjoyed getting to know both the team and owners, Kaylea and Jordan. The customer service is consistently excellent, the quality is fantastic, and there's always an amazing selection of artisan baked goods—often with something fresh coming right out of the oven. I'm a huge fan of the Watermelon Refresher and the Iced Americano with caramel cold foam. Most recently, I ordered lemonade from Uptown Coffee for my bridal shower signature cocktail, and it was absolutely wonderful. It paired perfectly with my rhubarb gin and was a huge hit with our guests. They are always a phonecall away when I need a box of hot or iced coffee for guests! If you're looking for great coffee, delicious baked goods, and genuinely kind people, Uptown Coffee never disappoints.

Love this cozy,warm cafe. The staff are very polite,prompt and professional. I have tried many of their delicious pastries and matcha lattes. I absolutely love their chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bread. Definitely need to check this place

A great hometown coffee with excellent food and drink! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and quick with your coffee. They have a delectable assortment of treats available daily. Their peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are homemade quite often and always soft and delicious they are a perfect pair for the many options in their coffee lineup. Did I mention those specifically are vegan. So yes they have a vegan option. I highly recommend the coffee with ice cubes made of coffee, a great pick-me-up! Inside is sometimes packed but never too loud where you can’t enjoy a drink and snack.
